1998 Nissan Skyline R34 Export: A Successful JDM Car Export Story

When it comes to JDM vehicle export from Japan, the iconic Nissan Skyline R34 holds a special place in the hearts of car enthusiasts worldwide. Recently, we received an order from an Exporter for servicing of a 1998 Nissan Skyline, equipped with the highly sought-after RB25 NEO Turbo engine. As specialists in helping export companies with cars from Japan, we take pride in providing not only a seamless buying experience but also ensuring that every vehicle we export meets our strict quality standards.

Inspection and Vehicle Condition

Once the client company purchased the 1998 Nissan Skyline R34, it arrived at our yard for a thorough inspection. The vehicle itself was in excellent condition—both inside and out. However, our client had some concerns about the engine's health and requested a full service before shipping. As part of our JDM support process, we ensure that every car we export, whether it’s a Nissan, Skyline, or other Japanese model, is fully inspected and serviced.

Engine Service and Suspension Adjustment

Upon inspecting the RB25 NEO Turbo engine, we noticed that both the timing belt and water pump were overdue for replacement. Given the engine's pivotal role in any car’s longevity, we consulted the customer with a detailed price estimate, and got approval to carry out the necessary work in our yard. Our expert mechanic team swiftly removed the old timing belt and water pump and installed new parts within a day, ensuring the engine was in top condition for the new owner of this JDM classic.

In addition to the engine service, we lifted the vehicle's suspension. This modification was necessary to meet the height requirements for Roll on Roll off (RORO) shipping, a popular method of vehicle export from Japan. It allows the car to be safely loaded and transported without the risk of damage, ensuring a smooth arrival at its destination.

Compression Testing and Final Checks

To further ensure the RB25 NEO Turbo engine's health, we performed a compression test on each cylinder. Compression tests are critical for verifying that the engine is performing optimally, and in this case, the results showed that the Nissan Skyline R34 was in excellent mechanical health. As a final step, we performed a customer-requested test drive to confirm the car's handling and performance before shipping it overseas.
